2025 NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 3 College Football Risers
The NFL Draft is still in the distant future, but the true difference-maker in a player’s draft stock is determined by their on-field performance during the regular season. “But how can I track all the highlights throughout college football each week?”, you may ask. If that is you, you came to the right place!
Each week during the college football season, I will bring to you an NFL Draft Stock Report, sharing the most significant draft information gathered from the previous week’s college football action. As the season goes on, we will focus in on players whose stock is continuously soaring and making a case to be an early to mid-round selection.
As always, be sure to share your thoughts on these prospects in the comment section below, but without further adieu, here are the most notable performances affecting the 2025 NFL Draft landscape from this past week’s action.
Omarion Hampton | RB | North Carolina
Hampton has proven to be one of the more explosive running backs in college football, but the 220-pound rock is making quite the impression on the NFL as well. This past week against North Carolina Central, Hampton ran the ball 25 times for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also catching 1 pass for 6 yards. There are a handful of names that could be in play for the RB1 in this draft class, but Hampton is certainly in the mix as well. His combination of power, decisiveness, and burst through the hole will appeal to NFL teams, as his skill set replicates that of a three-down back.
Zion Childress | S | Kentucky
His stats may not be earth-shattering, but Zion Childress had a nearly flawless performance against Georgia when you turn on the tape. Recording 6 tackles (5 solo), 1 tackle for loss, and 1 pass defended, Childress was always around the football, displaying incredible stickiness in man coverage and outstanding closing speed when coming downhill. His performance was not enough to put the Wildcats over the top against Georgia, but it will definitely cause scouts to dive deeper into his game. He is a Day 2 talent who is on the rise.
Nohl Williams | CB | California
Williams is one of the most unheralded names in college football, but he currently leads the FBS with four interceptions. One of those came this weekend against San Diego State, putting the cherry on top of an outstanding performance. At 6’1″, 200 pounds, Williams relies on size and instincts. He is physical enough to successfully press receivers off the line of scrimmage, but he is also quick enough to close on the ball in zone coverage and create turnovers. He is a name to monitor in a deep group of defensive backs.
Nick Nash | WR | San Jose State
Keeping with the theme of unheralded collegiate stars, Nash is having a breakout senior season for San Jose State, leading the country with 485 receiving yards through 3 games. Albeit against Kennesaw State, Nash exploded this weekend with 17 receptions for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns. Adding weight to his frame will allow him to generate more body control and physicality on the perimeter, but he is definitely another name to watch as we enter into conference play.
