2025 NFL Draft Stock Report: A Stud Pass Rusher Emerges in Week 7

The NFL Draft is still in the distant future, but the true difference-maker in a player’s draft stock is determined by their on-field performance during the regular season. “But how can I track all the highlights throughout college football each week?”, you may ask. If that is you, you came to the right place!

Each week during the college football season, I will bring to you an NFL Draft Stock Report, sharing the most significant draft information gathered from the previous week’s college football action. As the season goes on, we will focus in on players whose stock is continuously soaring and making a case to be an early to mid-round selection.

As always, be sure to share your thoughts on these prospects in the comment section below, but without further adieu, here are the most notable performances affecting the 2025 NFL Draft landscape from this past week’s action.

Kyle Kennard | EDGE | South Carolina

The Georgia Tech transfer is enjoying a breakout season for the Gamecocks, and this week against Alabama, he made a strong case to be an early-round selection, recording 7 total tackles, 6 solo tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks. At 6’5, 254 pounds, Kennard has the frame to play in either a 3-4 or 4-3 system, but NFL teams will ultimately have to decide what he best projects as in the NFL. On the surface, Kennard is a solid overall athlete with a non-stop motor, but his improved short-area quickness and quick-close ability are what truly have allowed him to finish more plays in the backfield. The fifth-year senior never eclipsed 6 sacks in a season at Georgia Tech, and he already has 7.5 this season, making him one of the fastest-rising prospects at the position. I would not rule out the thought of Kennard making it into Round 1 of the draft. He is a top-30 prospect on my current big board.

Caleb McCullough | LB | Arizona State

McCullough is not a household name in draft circles, but Cam Rising definitely will not forget his name. McCullough affected the Utah quarterback’s play in every sense of the word, wreaking havoc to the tune of 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 2 interceptions. The Arizona State linebacker is primarily projected as a Day 3 pick, but with positive athletic testing, he could shoot up boards into the middle round range. Listed at only 225 pounds, he will need a fast 40 to catch the eye of scouts, but his recent on-field play has exposed his development and maturity as a football player, not just an athlete.

Dillon Gabriel | QB | Oregon

I am not the biggest fan of Gabriel as a draft prospect, but I have to tip my hat to him after his performance against the Buckeyes. While Gabriel may not have elite upside in the NFL, his clutch play in key moments cannot be ignored, and NFL scouts love that trait in a backup quarterback. Gabriel is certainly capable of becoming a solid backup who can come into a close game in the event of the starter’s injury and lead his team to victory.

Jordan James | RB | Oregon

Saturday’s numbers may not be as glamorous as the previous weeks leading up to this game, but mustering 5 yards per carry against a stout Ohio State front seven was perhaps the most impressive thing he has done this season. James is just a junior, but he has already cemented his status as one of the top backs in the country. Do not be surprised at all if he declares for the draft and gets taken within the top 100 picks.
