2025 NFL Draft: Risers and Fallers from Week 5 of College Football
The NFL Draft is still in the distant future, but the true difference-maker in a player’s draft stock is determined by their on-field performance during the regular season. “But how can I track all the highlights throughout college football each week?”, you may ask. If that is you, you came to the right place!
Each week during the college football season, I will bring to you an NFL Draft Stock Report, sharing the most significant draft information gathered from the previous week’s college football action. As the season goes on, we will focus in on players whose stock is continuously soaring and making a case to be an early to mid-round selection.
As always, be sure to share your thoughts on these prospects in the comment section below, but without further adieu, here are the most notable performances affecting the 2025 NFL Draft landscape from this past week’s action.
Parker Brailsford | C | Alabama
Offensive linemen do not get much recognition in stock report articles like these, but I cannot help but at least mention the strong play we have gotten out of Alabama’s Parker Brailsford. Brailsford was listed at only 275 pounds last year, but he put on a significant 15 pounds this offseason, measuring in around 290 pounds. Albeit still undersized, Brailsford has held his own in pass protection, specifically against bull rushes. Thanks to a strong anchor in pass protection and the mobility to get to the second level in the run game, Parker has performed well enough to be considered the top center prospect in the 2025 draft class. He was dominant against a stout Georgia defensive front on Saturday, and he has been one of the most consistent linemen in the country all season. He has a chance to earn first-round consideration.
Jalen Milroe | QB | Alabama
Perhaps the most obvious riser in all of college football this past week was Jalen Milroe, who was nearly flawless against Georgia. Helped by strong offensive line play, Milroe displayed great command in the pocket, tossing for 374 yards, 2 touchdowns, and only 1 interception, while completing 27 of 33 pass attempts. He also added another 117 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. Milroe is still a work in progress, but his development as it pertains to delivering accurate passes to the short and intermediate areas of the field from inside the pocket is nothing short of incredible. He has easily jumped from a mid to late-round selection to a potential top-5 draft pick. He deserves to be in the conversation with Cam Ward for QB1.
Harold Fannin, Jr. | TE | Bowling Green
Fannin may not be a household name as of yet, but give it time. At 6’4″, 230 pounds, Fannin is a bit slight for a tight end but fits the modern mold of a “move” tight end that can align in the slot and create a size mismatch. He has been on a tear the past couple weeks, exploiting the middle of Penn State’s and Texas A&M’s linebacking corps. This week brought an easier opponent in Old Dominion, but Fannin was still the focal point of the offense, snagging 12 balls for a total of 192 yards and 2 touchdowns. He is a legitimate big-play threat across the middle of the field who has a body type similar to that of Raiders rookie Brock Bowers. Will he go as high as Bowers did in the draft? I doubt it, but if his success continues, he should easily receive top-50 consideration.

- Deontae Lawson | LB | Alabama (10 TACK, 7 SOLO, 1 SCK, 2 TFL, 1 PD)
