It’s the official lull of the NFL offseason, and that means it provides enough time to go over things which you might not have time to dive into when the news and storylines are rampant. One of the things which is always something I want to do is an in-depth preview on the schedule. When the schedule gets released it involves a very knee jerk reaction from the fan base, but not a lot of introspection happens once the dust settles.

Well, if you’re like me, you’re in luck. This is the detailed breakdown of the Steelers 2024 regular season schedule, by week.

Week 13 & 18: vs Cincinnati Bengals

Last Meeting: 12/23/23 – Steelers 34, Bengals 11

Overall Series Record: Steelers lead 70-39-0

2023 Records:

Steelers: 10-7

Bengals: 9-8

Projected Starting QB Matchup: Joe Burrow vs. Russell Wilson

Analysis: The season series between the Steelers and Bengals will be interesting, to say the least. While I predicted a season sweep for the Steelers over the Ravens in the articles covering that series, I don’t see it that way for the Bengals. The main reason? The first meeting between the two teams comes the week after the Steelers play the Browns, which is right before the team plays the Ravens. Quite the murderer’s row in terms of a series of divisional games. You have to think the third in that slate of games will be difficult, especially with the first meeting being in Cincinnati.

In other words, there are a lot of factors I don’t like about this game for the Steelers.

With that said, I do see the Steelers winning the home game vs. the Bengals in Week 18 at Acrisure Stadium. There are some teams who just don’t match up well with the Steelers, and the Bengals will certainly provide a challenge as long as Joe Burrow stays healthy and his weapons in Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins do the same. Nonetheless, I predict a season split with these two teams, with both teams winning on their home turf.

Prediction:

Week 13: Bengals 21, Steelers 17

Week 18: Steelers 27, Bengals 21
