Stars Set For NHL’s Global Series

The entire country of Finland is made up of just 5.6 million people. Compare that to just DFW alone which has about 8.1 million people and people from the metroplex get an idea of how small Finland really is.

However, some people living in the metroplex don’t need any idea of what Finland is like… they can tell you.

Dallas Stars and the country of Finland have deep ties. Dallas has drafted and developed three of its own stars from the small nation.

Miro Heiskanen, Roope Hintz, and Esa Lindell have been part of the Stars honey hole they have found in the small nations.

Now, with each of them being veteran players in the league, they return to their home country where they will play an NHL game.

When the Dallas Stars take on the Florida Panthers in this weekend’s NHL global series, memories will be made to last a lifetime for every Dallas Star.

Roope Hintz’s grandparents are set to watch their grandson play live in an NHL game for the very first time.

That along with many other stories will make this weekend so special for so many people on the Stars.

However, you don’t have to look past the ice to see a really fascinating matchup.

Dallas is set to take on the defending Stanely Cup Champion Florida Panthers in two games this weekend.

For Dallas, it’ll be what many consider their best matchup all season long in an overseas preview of what could be the Stanely Cup final.

There is no doubt that NHL fans will be glued to their screen all weekend long.
