Visiting Dugout Episode 71 — San Diego Padres

As I write this blurb, the White Sox have won three games in a row. Maybe they’ve won two more before they make the trek south to San Diego. But we’re putting the Angels in the rearview mirror for a few days. We’ll miss Dylan Cease by a day, so breathe a sigh of relief. However, we’ll also see what could’ve been with Fernando Tatís Jr. and Manny Machado. Remember when Rick thought it would be a good idea to sign Machado’s brother-in-law in a ridiculous attempt to attract Machado? Oh, Yonder Alonso, I can’t say you’re missed.

This Padres team is good though, just barely behind the Dodgers in the NL West and holding the top spot for the National League Wild Card. Grey, the face behind Razzball, joined to chat about the Padres and what to expect during the series.

Here is what we talked about:

  • What’s new with the Padres
  • The Dylan Cease trade
  • Chris Sale might win the Cy Young, and all former White Sox pitchers are aces
  • The Dodgers are overrated
  • A Wild Card spot and how far the Padres might go
  • Pitching matchups
  • Keys to win, fears, and which player might crush the White Sox

Follow Grey over on Twitter. Bonus: If you like football, you’re in luck because that’s covered too.
