Sour Celebration: The New Day Dumps Big E after 10 Years
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods finally agreed on something.
After weeks of bickering, their partnership was coming to an end during the 10-Year Celebration of The New Day on last night’s Monday Night Raw.
They were about to give the fans the “We still love you and this is not your fault” speech when Big E showed up.
Their injured partner offered to serve as their manager and keep them together, but Kofi and Woods turned on him.
They berated their injured partner for waiting until that moment to come back, noting that Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, and Edge had all returned from broken necks.
A heartbroken Big E left the ring, and Kofi and Woods stuck together. They are moving on without Big E and the fans.
The New Day trio won nine WWE tag team titles. They broke Demolition’s record for longest championship reign in history before The Usos broke their record.
Even more impressively, Kingston and Big E both went on to win the WWE championship.
