Social Media ‘Star’ QT Marshall Earns a Shot at Ring Of Honor Gold
QT Marshall hasnât won a big match in a while, but he has somehow earned a shot at the Ring Of Honor television title.
Marshall lost to TikTok star âBig Boom AJâ at Full Gear in November, but that didnât bother him at all. He is still basking in the social-media glow from that match.
Last weekend, Marshall lost to 57-year-old Jeff Jarrett on the Zero Hour pre-show for the AEW Worldâs End pay-per-view.
Things started looking up last night when Marshall faced Komander in a non-title Proving Ground match.
Marshall didnât win that one, either, but since he battled to a 10-minute draw, QT earned a future title shot against Komander.
WOMENâS ACTION
Red Velvet retained the ROH womenâs TV title with a win over Hanako, from Japanâs Stardom promotion.
Velvet is likely to face Leyla Hirsch in a rematch after using a wrench to beat her at the Final Battle pay-per-view.
Athena has been ROH womenâs champion for so long that last nightâs show featured a title defense from 2023 over Willow Nightingale.
Harley Cameron bounced back from her Zero Hour loss to Hanako by defeating Ashley Vox.
OTHER BOUTS
Action Andretti & Lio Rush defeated The Rottweilers (Homicide & Rocky Romero). Rush and Action will challenge Private Party for the AEW tag team belts on Saturdayâs Collision episode.
Shane Taylor Promotions (Taylor, Lee Moriarty & The Infantry) won an eight-man tag team match over Dark Order & The Iron Savages.
Moriarty holds the ROH Pure Rules title, but Taylor said his faction will be gunning for more gold in 2025.
