Doyle’s skillset has been a boon for the Rockies at one of the toughest positions to fill for them. He has been able to get the job done thanks to his excellent speed, range and arm strength. His 11.4 Ulitmate Zone Rating tops all center fielders while his 97.2 mph average throwing speed ranks him in the 99th percentile. He has garnered praise from his peers across the league as opposing teams have learned not to test his arm when trying to take an extra base. His 426 putouts led the league along with his eight outfield assists.

This award is a good omen for Doyle who is a prime candidate to win his second career Gold Glove award of which he is a finalist in the National League.
