Affected by Altitude Episode 132: We Finally Lost Your Love Tonight!

Rocky Mountain Rooftop is the Colorado Rockies affiliate of Fans First Sports Network dedicated to covering all things Rockies. Our flagship podcast Affected by Altitude, hosted by Evan Lang and Skyler Timmins, covers all the happenings of the big league club. Other shows under the RMR banner include Every Rockie Ever and Rooftop Mingle featuring player interviews.

This week, Skyler and Evan send off the 2024 Colorado Rockies regular season with a bang by saying their final goodbyes to longtime fan favorite Charlie Blackmon. After a 14-year career in purple, Blackmon rides off into the sunset, after recording one last hit in the third inning. They recall his legendary career in Colorado and what he means to the franchise and the fans and debate the next burning question: should his number be retired? Following Chuck’s departure, Rockies fans are left with many questions about what comes next for their beleaguered franchise. What will become of their manager Bud Black? What moves, if any, will be made to shuffle the roster? After back-to-back 100-loss seasons, the Rockies have plenty of work to do to dig themselves out of the pit as the Rockies’ offseason is finally underway. They round things out by naming their September players of the month.
