Affected by Altitude Episode 129: When is it time to say “GoodBryant?”

Rocky Mountain Rooftop is the Colorado Rockies affiliate of Fans First Sports Network dedicated to covering all things Rockies. Our flagship podcast Affected by Altitude, hosted by Evan Lang and Skyler Timmins, covers all the happenings of the big league club. Other shows under the RMR banner include Every Rockie Ever and Rooftop Mingle featuring player interviews.

This week, Evan and Skyler are joined by Dustin “Mr. T-Spanish” Timmins of Every Rockie Ever to discuss the Rockies’ problem with strikeouts. While the increase in strikeouts has coincided with the nature of the modern game, it’s become an even worse problem for the Rockies who are a league leader in strikeouts, have the highest strikeout rate in franchise history, and have set plenty of other unflattering records this season. Is it a problem they can ever fix moving forward? Meanwhile, Kris Bryant is running out of time to return in the 2024 season… should he return at all? Should the Rockies tear off the bandaid and let the $182 million dollar man walk away with the money and what’s left of his health? Or, should they continue to try and squeeze what they can out of him. Speaking of the Rockies with back issues, what’s to be done with Nolan Jones after a difficult 2024? After a promising 2023 season, is Jones a one-hit wonder, or will he be a fixture moving forward? There are plenty of young prospects on the way, including 2020 first-round Zac Veen who is knocking on the door for his big league debut.
