Rockets Spoil Ja Morant’s Return With Big Win Over Grizzlies
When the Houston Rockets took on the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night, it was a battle for the number two seed in the Western Conference.
Houston put together a full-game performance taking down Memphis 119-115 on the night of Ja Morant’s return.
The Rockets have now won six straight games away from the Toyota Center.
Alperen Sengun led the way for the Rockets as he put up a double-double with 32 points and 14 rebounds.
His fellow young duo member Jalen Green had 27 points on 21 shots as he knocked down four three-pointers.
Fred VanVleet was a very efficient 8-13 scoring 22 points in 41 minutes of action. Amen Thompson scored 10 points to give Houston four starters in double figures.
Off the bench, it was JaeSean Tate who continued his stretch of really good play scoring 12 points to lead the second unit.
Tari Eason once again missed this game with a left leg injury that seems to linger longer than expected.
Next up, the Rockets will finish their road trip in Atlanta where they will take on the Hawks on Saturday afternoon.
