Rockets Snap Two Game Losing Streak With Win Over Dallas
The Houston Rockets’ brief two-game losing streak is officially in the books.
Houston took down the rival Dallas Mavericks 110-99 on New Year’s Day to start 2025 off on the right foot.
Alperen Sengun led the way for the Rockets with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and an impressive 5 steals.
Not too far behind was Jalen Green who put up 22 points and 5 rebounds finishing with a rating of +18.
On his bobblehead day, Dillion “the villain” Brooks finished with 19 points and six rebounds with a steal to go along with it.
It was also a strong start to the New Year for Jabari Smith Jr who tallied 12 points with 2 steals and a block.
In their first game without both Tari Eason (leg) and Amen Thompson (suspension) the Rockets were led off the bench once again by Cam Whitmore.
Whitmore scored an impressive 18 points on 7-9 shooting while knocking down 3 deep balls in 4 tries.
Dallas was up midway through the second quarter, but the Rockets went on an impressive 32-12 run to end the first half and start the second.
Houston’s tough homestand continues on Friday night when the Rockets host the reigning champion Boston Celtics at the Toyota Center.
