Rockets Down Cavs Again To Continue Hot Streak
For the second time this week, the Houston Rockets have taken down the East-leading Cleveland Cavaliers.
On Saturday night it was Amen Thompson whose triple-double led the way in a Rockets 135-131 victory.
Thompson tallied 23 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists in 41 minutes as his run of impressive play since entering the starting lineup continues.
Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun both put forth 26 points to complement Thompson as Sengun had 8 rebounds to go with it.
Fred VanVleet also continued his hot run putting up 20 points while knocking down 6 three-pointers.
Dillion Brooks finished with 13 points rounding out every Houston starter in double figures once again.
Off the bench, it was Steven Adams who led the way finishing with 14 points in 14 minutes as one of just four Rockets to come in off the bench.
After playing 10 minutes in the first half, Cam Whitmore did not play in the second half due to sickness.
Combined, Sengun and Adams had 40 points and 12 rebounds as the Rockets dominated down low.
Despite having a pretty sizeable lead for much of the game, the Cavs tied things up late in the 4th quarter before Amen Thompson had a run of five points to seal the deal.
Next up, the Rockets will continue their road trip in Boston as they take on the Celtics on Monday night.
