Rockets Claim First Win In Toronto Since 2019
The Houston Rockets are victorious in Canada for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
In come-from-behind fashion, the Rockets took down the Raptors 114-100 to win their second straight.
Dillion Brooks led the way in his home country dropping 27 points with six rebounds and three steals.
Jalen Green followed suit with his second consecutive strong game scoring 22 points with seven rebounds.
His fellow young star Alperen Sengun finished with a double-double at 17 points and ten rebounds.
Jabari Smith Jr. was also in double figures finishing with 15 which included a 6-6 mark from the free throw line.
Off the bench, Amen Thompson scored ten points on 4-7 shooting in another game without Tari Eason.
However, it was Cam Whitmore who came in and led the way off the bench after being recalled from the G League.
Whitmore had 11 points on 5-10 shooting with four rebounds, an assist, and a steal to go along with it.
Sengun fed Whitmore for an emphatic alley-opp slam to give the Rockets their biggest lead of the game at 99-91 with 6:58 to go in the fourth quarter.
It’s a short turnaround for the Rockets who will play the second night of a back-to-back on the night before Christmas Eve.
Houston will travel to Charlotte where they will take on the 7-21 Hornets.
