Remember Me? Toni Storm to Face Mariah May for AEW Women’s Title

Toni Storm’s recent case of amnesia is about to be put to the test.

Storm won the Casino Battle Royale to earn a shot at Mariah May’s AEW Women’s title.

That bout will take place at Grand Slam Australia next month in Storm’s home country.

Storm will be seeking to regain the belt from May, her former friend and protegee. After losing the title, Storm took a world tour and then seemingly forgot that she had ever wrestled for AEW.

In fact, Storm acts like she is just learning to wrestle again for the first time. She does a lot of basic moves like snapmares and shoulderblocks, and she won with a small package on Julia Hart.

Megan Bayne wrestled in the Casino match, making her first AEW appearance since 2023. “The Megasus” has been competing for Game Changer Wrestling since returning from a knee injury.

MOXLEY RETAINS

Jon Moxley, Cincinnati’s hometown hero and the company’s top villain, retained the AEW World title with a win over Powerhouse Hobbs.

MVP competed in the AEW ring for the first time as The Hurt Syndicate scored a dominant victory over Private Party & Mark Briscoe.

CHAMPIONS RETURN

Kenny Omega returned to the AEW ring by defeating “The Machine” Brian Cage in the opener. The Don Callis Family attacked Omega after the match, and Will Ospreay came to the rescue.

Samoa Joe, another former AEW champion, also came back after a long absence. Hook beat Christian by disqualification when the rest of the Patriarchy interfered. Joe and Katsuyori Shibata made the save.

YO MOMMA!

MJF and Jeff Jarrett dueled on the microphone for the second week in a row. They threw the most personal and embarrassing insults at each other that they could muster.

They didn’t start fighting until MJF accused Jarrett of leeching off the memory of his deceased friend, Owen Hart.
