Raw Results: Bron Breakker Bounces Ricochet Out of WWE
Bron Breakker continues to gain steam as an unstoppable force on Monday Night Raw, and after last night’s rampage, Ricochet appears to be out of the company.
Breakker won a hard-fought battle over Ilya Dragunov, but that wasn’t enough. Bron continued his attack backstage until Ricochet made the save.
Well, he tried, because Bron won that fight as well. He powerslammed Ricochet through the windshield of a car, causing Ricochet to be hospitalized.
We are unlikely to see Ricochet in the WWE again, because he recently announced that he would not be renewing his WWE contract.
AEW fans immediately started fantasy-booking Will Ospreay winning the AEW title from Swerve Strickland and then defending it against Ricochet.
CLASH AT THE CASTLE
Drew McIntyre earned a level playing field for his World title match against champion Damien Priest. McIntyre beat Finn Balor in the main event of Raw, so the Judgment Day will be banned from ringside in Scotland on Saturday’s Clash at the Castle pay-per-view.
Sami Zayn defeated Otis, who is continuing to decide whether to break away from Chad Gable. The other members of Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa and Maxxine) seem to be contemplating the same decision. Gable will challenge Zayn for the Intercontinental title at Clash at the Castle.
FATHER vs. SON … AGAIN
Rey Misterio Jr., Dragon Lee & Braun Strowman defeated Dominic Mysterio, JD McDonagh & Carlito. Dragon Lee dove off Braun’s shoulders to pin Carlito.
Speaking of Dominic, Liv Morgan continued to try to lure him into a relationship and away from her archrival, Rhea Ripley. Liv gave Dom her hotel key, but it was somehow intercepted by Dom’s teammate in Judgment Day, Finn Balor.
Iyo Sky used a handful of hair to defeat Lyra Valkyria. Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane joined in a 3-on-1 Damage Control beatdown of Lyra, but Katana Chance and Kayden Carter made the save.
Shayna Baszler bounced back from her loss to Lola Vice at NXT Battleground. She teamed with Zoey Stark to score a convincing win over Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn. Still, both teams will get a shot at Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill at Clash at the Castle for the WWE women’s tag team title.
R-Truth & The Miz continued their roll as World tag team champions, as they retained the belts with a win over The Authors of Pain.
Tonight on NXT, WWE champion Cody Rhodes will make a special appearance.
