Ranking Best OL Prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft is full of intriguing prospects all over the field. This includes offensive lineman that can be anchors along the offensive line for years to come.

This brings up the question, who are the top five prospects in this year’s draft?

Honorable Mention/Potential First Rounders: Amarius Mims, Georgia; Graham Barton, Duke; Jordan Morgan, Arizona; Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma

5. Olu Fashanu, Penn State

Once upon a time, Olu Fashanu was viewed as the top offensive lineman in the class and potential top-three pick. He has slowly moved down draft boards and this is strictly because of other team needs, mainly the emergence of quarterbacks. This does not take away from Fashanu’s overall potential at the next level as one of the youngest players in the draft.

4. J.C. Latham, Alabama

J.C. Latham had the benefit of starting for two years at Alabama, which is typically a good sign at the next level. At 21 years old, Latham is a bit raw and gathered nine penalties per year over the last two years with the Crimson Tide. Latham brings an incredible blend of speed and athleticism to go along with his size.

3. Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State

Oregon State has built an incredible program in recent years and this includes getting prospects into the NFL. Taliese Fuaga is near the top of the list. With the ability to play guard or tackle, Fuaga is an interesting piece as a rookie because he can get it done in many ways. While teams prefer to set their offensive line for the year, Fuaga can move around if needed. He has an incredible IQ and feel for the game of football, along with NFL-ready intangibles.

2. Troy Fautanu, Washington

Troy Fautanu might be viewed as some as a system lineman because of his ability in a zone-blocking scheme. The truth of the matter is, Fautanu brings versatility because of his ability to play guard or center. Any teams interested in Fautanu will have a clear plan for his position at the next level and believe in his ability in their system.

1. Joe Alt, Notre Dame

Joe Alt has taken over as the top prospect in this year’s draft along the offensive line. This is not uncommon of Notre Dame products. Overall, Alt might have the best IQ and football knowledge in this draft’s. He has the making of a long-time starter at left tackle for the team lucky enough to draft him. Alt will be a Top-10 selection on Thursday night.
