Projecting The Highest Rated Georgia Bulldogs in EA Sports College Football 25
We are just days away from EA Sports releasing their first college football video game since 2013. Over the past few weeks, the social media team over at EA Sports have been slowly releasing information about the game such as best stadium atmospheres, highest rated offenses and defenses, and the top 25 overall teams. While there’s been glimpse of Ultimate Team cards for some players, we likely won’t have an extensive list of overall play ratings until the game is released later in July.
Georgia was rated as the best team in the game, coming in at a 94 overall. Obviously, Kirby Smart and his staff have assembled one of the best rosters in country, but which players does EA think the highest of on Georgia’s roster?
QB Carson Beck
Projected Rating: 90
It should come as no surprise that Beck will likely be one of the highest rated quarterbacks in the game since he is prominently featured on one of the covers in front of Donvan Edwards, Quinn Ewers, and Travis Hunter. Beck is almost universally seen in NFL Mock Drafts as a top ten pick.
Going into his second year as the starting QB in Athens, he has very good arm strength and consistently makes good decisions with the ball. If he were more of a dual threat quarterback, he would’ve received a higher rating.
OL Tate Ratledge
Projected Rating: 88
The Dawgs got a huge boost to their offensive line when Tate Ratledge decided to forgo the 2024 NFL and return to Athens for one more year. He was one of three Georgia Bulldogs to be selected to the Walter Camp Preseason First Team All-American List.
S Malaki Starks
Projected Rating: 94
Malaki Starks has been a superstar since his first game in the Red and Black, where he made an insane interception against Oregon. As he enters his junior (and probably final) season in Athens, Starks is likely rated as one of the top defensive players in the country.
It also doesn’t hurt that he joins Beck and Ratledge on the preseason All-American list.
RB Trevor Etienne
Projected Rating: 86
Trevor Etienne might have the most hype for a Georgia running back since DeAndre Swift. He was stellar splitting carries in Gainesville the past two seasons and looks to give Georgia their best pass catcher out of the backfield since Kenny McIntosh.
DL/LB Mykel Williams
Projected Rating: 86
Mykel Williams was featured prominently in the first trailer for EA Sports College Football 25 where he was shown laying out Alabama QB Jalen Milroe. As Williams enters into his junior season, he is finally going to be standing up a good amount of his snaps.
LB CJ Allen
Projected Rating: 85
True Sophomore CJ Allen took over the starting linebacker job from former preseason All-American Jamon Dumas-Johnson after his season ending injury. If his spring game interception is any indication, Allen is going to be a problem in both real life and in the video game.
