NXT Deadline: Oba Femi, Giulia win Iron Survivor Challenges
Oba Femi opened NXT Deadline by winning the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match last night in Minneapolis.
Femi was filling in for the injured Eddy Thorpe, and he will challenge for the NXT title at the New Year’s Evil show on Jan. 7 in Los Angeles.
Giulia won the main event, which was the women’s Iron Survivor bout. She earned a title shot against Roxanne Perez at New Year’s Evil.
MEN’S IRON SURVIVOR
Wes Lee and Je’Von Evans put on a high-flying showcase in the first five minutes, and Lee scored a pinfall to send Evans to the penalty box for 90 seconds.

Femi was the surprise fifth entrant and pinned Evans, who came back from the penalty box to pin Lee. All five wrestlers were tied at one fall apiece.

WOMEN’S IRON SURVIVOR
Wren Sinclair kept getting pinned in this match, but she finally popped out to score a pin of her own.
That tied her at one with Giulia, Zaria, Stephanie Vaquer, and Sol Ruca, just like in the men’s match.
Giulia hit the Arrividerci knee strike on Zaria for the winning pinfall.
