Week 7 Daily Fantasy Football Preview

Welcome to the Daily Fantasy Preview. This weekly article will dive into all the best values and bets for the upcoming week of NFL action. If you’re a competitive DFS player or want a leg up on the weekend’s betting action, this is the place for you! Let’s dive into the Week 7 slate.

Note: All fantasy statistics mentioned in this article are based on Draft Kings salaries and player and team rankings. The value options mentioned should be viable on most DFS platforms and sportsbooks.

SUNDAY DFS DARLINGS (VALUE PLAYS UNDER $5,500 SALARY)

Draft Kings NFL Classic $3.5M Fantasy Football Millionaire. Entry $20. $1M to 1st. 9-player roster.

QB JOSH DOBBS (AZ) vs. SEA – $5,300

Dobbs has come back to earth as a fantasy QB in recent weeks, but a decent matchup against the Seahawks makes him viable this week, especially with his running ability. The Seahawks secondary is tough on opposing WRs, but QBs have still found success as a whole against this D.

QB DESMOND RIDDER (ATL) vs. WAS – $5,200

Ridder has scored 20+ fantasy points in 3 of 6 games in 2023, including each of his last two performances. The Buccaneers are a little tougher matchup, but the Falcons are having to throw the ball to offset a strangely ineffective rushing attack and keep up their opponents. He’s a fine value play this week.

RB JEROME FORD/KAREEM HUNT (CLE) vs. IND – $5,100/$5,000

Both Cleveland backs are good value plays this week against the Colts. Ford will likely garner the more generous overall workload, but Hunt has really re-established himself as the Browns’ 3rd down back and receiving threat. Both get plenty of Red Zone work as well. If you want upside, go with Ford. If you want a higher floor, I’d take Hunt in PPR formats like this one.

RB JAYLEN WARREN (PIT) vs. LAR – $5,000

The Steelers have relied on Warren in the passing game, and his involvement as a rusher could also increase coming out of the Bye Week. Given Najee Harris’ struggles and the Rams ability to put points on the board quick on offense, Warren feels like a good bet to get valuable touches, especially as a receiver. He’s also a proven threat to break one at any time.

WR RASHEE RICE (KC) vs. LAC – $4,700

The Chargers give up the 2nd most points to opposing WRs in 2023, and most Chiefs/Chargers matchup feature big plays and high octane offense. While I feel the scoring could be lower than typical in this particular matchup, the Chiefs passing game could get going quickly against this suspect secondary in LA. If it does, I like Rice to be the main beneficiary at WR.

WR CURTIS SAMUEL (WAS) vs. NYG – $4,000

Curtis Samuel is one of the few “gadget” players at WR that is fantasy relevant on a weekly basis. The Commanders have a specific section of their playbook titled “plays to get Curtis Samuel the football” and make his inclusion a priority. He has double digit fantasy points in his last 3 outings including his last 2 at 18+. A fantastic value at this price!

TE DAVID NJOKU (CLE) vs. IND – $3,400

Njoku has a solid role in the offense, no matter which QB suits up on Sunday against the Colts. While he doesn’t get the number Red Zone looks other TE1s across the league do, he could definitely be featured against a Colts D giving up the 10th most points to the position through 6 weeks.

TE LUKE MUSGRAVE (GB) vs. DEN – $3,300

This is a matchup-based value play alone, with Denver giving up the most points to opposing TEs in 2023. If you spent big everywhere else, Musgrave is a low-cost, high-upside play against this defense.
