Pez’s Picks: NFL Thanksgiving Day 3-Leg Parlay

Thanksgiving is known for three things: Family, food and football.

The latter of that trio takes on a new meaning for people who like to wager on the NFL action, and thanks to FFSN’s local gambling expert, Pez, he has delivered a 3-leg parlay for the bettors out there who might want to make a friendly wager on the games to spice up their holiday.

Before we get to the actual picks, understand we are not guaranteeing a win. In fact, if you listen to the Pez’s Picks podcast, the latest episode is in the player below, you know Pez is not a fan of parlays. He prefers single game plays, but also realizes many fans love parlays to compound their winnings.

In case you didn’t know, for a parlay to “hit” all three of these things need to happen. With that said, here is a look at Pez’s 3-leg Thanksgiving parlay:

  • Detroit 1st Quarter (-1.5)
  • Sam Howell 39.5 pass attempts (OVER)
  • Christian McCaffrey Scores a TD

Depending on the sportsbook you are using, a win on this bet would be +395.

When looking at this bet closer, the Lions getting out to a fast start at home vs. the Packers absolutely seems like safe bet. Leading by 1.5 heading into the second quarter is a very realistic proposition.

In the second game, Cowboys vs. Commanders, Sam Howell very well might have to throw the football a lot to keep pace with the high-powered Cowboys. In last week’s 31-19 loss to the New York Giants, Howell threw the ball 45 times in the loss. Considering how the Cowboys blow out teams, Howell throwing the ball plenty is a smart play.

Lastly, Christian McCaffrey might be one of the safest bets as an anytime touchdown scorer in the NFL. McCaffrey gets the football a lot, and he absolutely gets plenty of red-zone touches. In this NFC West matchup it seems like a good play.

Will any of this pan out? Only time will tell, but be sure to check out the latest Pez’s Picks podcast in the player below.
