Key Offseason Dates For Packers Announced
Last week, important dates were announced for the Packers’ offseason schedule as the NFL looks to the start of the 2024 season. According to ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky, here are the dates that were announced for the team’s offseason activities (aside from the rookie minicamp, which takes place the weekend after the NFL Draft):
First Day: April 15th
OTA Offseason Workouts: May 20-21, May 23, May 28-29, May 31, June 3-4, June 6
Mandatory Minicamp: June 11-13
These will be exciting days for everyone around the Green Bay Packers. After finishing with a winning record at the end of the regular season in 2023 (9-8), Matt LaFleur led his team to the playoffs in the first season without legend Aaron Rodgers. In fact, they came to within 15 minutes of reaching the NFC Championship Game, which would’ve taken place against the rival Lions. Quarterback Jordan Love threw for the second-most touchdowns in the NFL (32) and proved himself quite worthy of taking over for Rodgers.
The team is now ready to contend for the Super Bowl after what was supposed to be a rebuilding year in 2023. These key offseason dates signify the start of possibly another special season in Green Bay, Wisconsin, as well as the arrival of some very talented rookies and free agent pieces like All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs and ascending safety Xavier McKinney, who both signed new four-year deals.
Diehard fans will line the streets of Lombardi Avenue in the hopes of seeing their favorite players and coaches get on the track towards another hopeful Lombardi Trophy.
