Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Wishlist, Week 6

Another week is in the books. As always, there were huge breakouts from under-the-radar players and dud performances from supposed studs. If you’re looking to shake things up for your Fantasy roster ahead of Week 5, here’s some players to add from the Waiver Wire.

Note: All fantasy advice in this article is based on PPR scoring unless otherwise stated.

RUNNING BACKS

TYJAE SPEARS | TENNESSEE TITANS

WEEK 5 STATS: 7 CAR, 34 YDS, 1 TD, 4 REC, 5 TAR, 35 YDS, 0 TD – 16.9 FPTS

Spears had by far his best game of the season and is still rostered in only 25% of ESPN leagues. He’s clearly the more explosive back in Tennessee at this point in the career of Derrick Henry, and he should be added in all formats as a priority handcuff with Flex appeal.

KENDRE MILLER | NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

WEEK 5 STATS: 12 CAR, 37 YDS, 0 TD, 4 REC, 4 TAR, 53 YDS, 0 TD – 13.0 FPTS

Miller proved to be a nice complement to Alvin Kamara for the Saints in their 34-0 drubbing of NE. Game-scripts like that are rare, but 16 touches is definitely noteworthy, specifically the 4 catches for 53 yards. If Kamara misses any time, Miller would be the primary rusher.

EMARI DEMERCADO | ARIZONA CARDINALS

WEEK 5 STATS: 10 CAR, 45 YDS, 1 TD, 1 REC, 3 TAR, 12 YDS, 0 TD – 12.7 FPTS

James Conner’s injury opened up the door for Demercado to turn 11 touches into 57 yards and a touchdown in relief work. Conner could miss some time, and if so, Demercado stands to benefit. He also provides some 3rd down appeal in deeper leagues even if Conner is on the field.

WIDE RECEIVERS

CURTIS SAMUEL | WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

WEEK 5 STATS: 6 REC, 7 TAR, 65 YDS, 1 TD – 18.5 FPTS

Samuel has the trust of his young QB, and for a team that will likely find themselves trailing in a bunch of games this season, the hihg-volume passing attack could make Samuel relevant throughout the season.

JOSH REYNOLDS | DETROIT LIONS

WEEK 5 STATS: 4 REC, 5 TAR, 76 YDS, 1 TD – 17.6 FPTS

Detroit is just a machine of efficiency and inclusion. Jared Goff loves spreading the ball around to a bevy of targets, and with Amon-Ra St. Brown out in Week 5, Reynolds led the way for the receivers as Goff’s favorite target. He’ll have good weeks and bad, but he’s definitely worth a roster spot.

RASHEE RICE | KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

WEEK 5 STATS: 4 REC, 5 TAR, 53 YDS, 1 TD – 13.3 FPTS

If Travis Kelce misses the Chiefs Thursday Night showdown with Denver, the Rookie could be in for a big night. Even if Kelce plays, though, Rice has earned at least 5 targets in 4 out of 5 games and has established himself as Patrick Mahomes’ favorite target outside of Kelce.

TIGHT ENDS

LOGAN THOMAS | WASHINGTON COMMMANDERS

WEEK 5 STATS: 9 REC, 11 TAR, 77 YDS, 1 TD – 20.7 FPTS

In a banner week for Fantasy TEs (14 TEs scored 10+ fpts in Week 5), Thomas was extremely impressive, gashing the Bears for big chunks and a ton of targets for a pass-heavy offense in Washington. He should be rostered in all formats in a relatively shallow position group.

WEEK 6 STREAMERS

QB: MATT STAFFORD VS CARDINALS, DESMOND RIDDER VS COMMANDERS
D/ST: RAIDERS VS PATRIOTS, CHIEFS VS BRONCOS (TNF)
