Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Wishlist, Week 14
Another week is in the books. As always, there were huge breakouts from under-the-radar players and dud performances from supposed studs. If you’re looking to shake things up for your Fantasy’s roster ahead of Week 11, here’s some players to add from the Waiver Wire.
Note: All fantasy advice in this article is based on PPR scoring unless otherwise stated.
QUARTERBACKS
GARDNER MINSHEW | INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Minshew is coming off his best fantasy performance of the season with 18+ fpts in a wild overtime win over the Titans. He’s not going to be a league winner, but could he keep you afloat if you’re dealing with QB injuries or in a Superflex league needing a QB2.
JAKE BROWNING | CINCINNATI BENGALS
Browning has put up solid production in both starts this year, and against the Jags in Week 13 it was definitely usable production including a rush TD on a sneak play in the 4th quarter. He should be on your radar if you need QB depth.
RUNNING BACKS
ZEKE ELLIOTT | NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Rhamondre Stevenson could easily miss TNF against the Pittsburgh Steelers this week, and if he does, Elliott steps into the RB1 role for maybe the worst offense in the league. Don’t expect RB1 numbers from him, but if you need a desperation flex, he could be usable this week.
TYJAE SPEARS | TENNESSEE TITANS
Spears continues to earn a solid workload despite Derrick Henry still producing at a high level, and his explosiveness means he can make a big play from anywhere on the field. If you need a prayer at the flex spot, he’s a boom or bust option to consider.
WIDE RECEIVERS
ROMEO DOUBS | GREEN BAY PACKERS
Keep adding Packers receivers because this squad is on fire with Jordan Love playing easily the best football of his career. A good outing in week 13 puts Doubs back on the radar after a slow middle of the season.
NOAH BROWN | HOUSTON TEXANS
Noah Brown gets the chance to step in to a much larger role with Rookie WR Tank Dell out for the season with a broken fibula. We’ve seen him thrive in Fantasy when featured, and is my add of the week for Week 14 regardless of position.
TIGHT ENDS
TYLER CONKLIN | NEW YORK JETS
Conklin has 5+ targets in 4 of his last 5 games. The workload is solid, but the production hasn’t been great with horrid QB play bringing everything down in the passing game. His floor is alright for the TE position. At this point, though, the TE position really is what it is. Not a lot of new players to consider here.
WEEK 14 STREAMERS
QB: JUSTIN FIELDS vs. Lions, DESMOND RIDDER vs. Buccaneers
D/ST: GREEN BAY PACKERS vs. Giants, HOUSTON TEXANS vs. Jets
That does it for this week’s Waiver Wire Wishlist. For more details about these players, tune into the Fantasy First Podcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays where I discuss Waiver Wire targets, Thursday Night Football player and team props, DFS Darlings, and more!
