Browns Rookie DT Michael Hall Junior Suspended 5 Games

On October 1st ,2024, late in the afternoon, Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Michael Hall Junior received a 5-game suspension from the NFL for violating the personal conduct policy of the league. After training camp ended in August, Hall was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list while his legal situation was being sorted. He received his punishment from the league after pleading no contest to the charges of domestic violence. He was given a plea bargain to a disorderly conduct misdemeanor charge. Since he has yet to play for the Cleveland Browns this season, he is eligible for reinstatement on October 7th ,2024.

Michael Hall Junior was a second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft for the Cleveland Browns. He was also the 54th overall pick in the draft. Hall did show promise in the preseason for the Browns and was considered a good young prospect at the age of 21. Despite his potential an incident on August 13th ,2024, showed that he has some maturing to do.

On the night of August 13th ,2024, the Avon Lake Police Department were called to Michael Hall’s residence for domestic violence. Hall’s fiancé’ accused him of hitting her, dragging her, and putting a gun to her head. She later gave a second statement to the police and recanted the gun allegation against Hall. In court Hall showed contrition and is working on bettering himself. Last month in an Avon Lake Municipal Court, the judge handed down a $250 fine and 2 years’ probation. Hall avoided a 30-day jail sentence with this plea deal.

With his legal case now closed and his suspension being up next Monday, Michael Hall Junior can get back to work. He can work on being the best defensive tackle he can be. And he can work on being the best man he can be.
