Browns Jaguars Week 2 injury report

The Cleveland Browns are now in preparation for their second game of the season. On Sunday they will travel to Jacksonville Florida to play the Jacksonville Jaguars. While preparing for their first road game of 2024, the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars released their week 2 injury reports on Wednesday. The reports were interesting to say the least.

The Cleveland placed 4 players on the injured reserve list, which means they will be out for at least four weeks. S Juan Thornhill calf, LB Mohamoud Diabate hip, LB Tony Fields II ankle, and DT Maurice Hearst II ankle were placed on the injured reserve list and will miss at least 4 weeks.  TE David Njoku is week to week with an ankle injury. He was not placed on the injured reserve list. But in today’s press conference, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that Njoku will be ruled out for Sunday’s game at Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Jaguars injury report for Sunday is a lot shorter than the Browns. S Daniel Thomas, and OL Cam Robinson were limited in practice for Jacksonville. CB Tyson Campbell did not participate in Jaguars practice. There is some better news for Cleveland Browns fans regarding the injury front.

OT Jack Conklin was limited in practice and OT Jed Wills still did not participate. Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was a full participant in Browns practice despite having a hand injury. With the injury reports being released, the point spread and odds in the game have slightly changed.

On early Monday the Jacksonville Jaguars were 2.5-point favorites in their home opener against the Cleveland Browns. After the Wednesday injury reports were released from both teams, Jacksonville became a 3.5-point favorite. Jacksonville is the healthier team going into this game. Despite injuries and setbacks, the Cleveland Browns need to have a better showing than the prior week versus Dallas. If not, they will go 0-2 to start the season. And that is not the start the Cleveland Browns or their fans wanted.
