Browns get some good injury news and some bad injury news

On the Friday before the Cleveland Browns leave for Las Vegas to play the Raiders, the Cleveland Browns had some news regarding injuries. Both starting tackles Jed Wills and Jack Conklin were ruled out for Sunday. Running back Pierre Strong and tight end David Njoku have been ruled out as well for the Raiders game. This is obviously bad news for the Browns going into Sunday, and this is especially concerning for the offensive line. But they did receive some good news on Friday to counter this.

The Browns had key players on defense practice the last two days. Linebacker Jordan Hicks and defensive end Myles Garret both practiced while still fighting through injuries. Tight end David Njoku also practiced for the first time in 3 weeks. But he is not ready to come back and play yet. Newly acquired wide receiver Kadarius Toney practiced for the first time with the team on Friday.  And the Browns got even better injury news regarding their opponent on Sunday.

As of Friday afternoon, the Las Vegas Raiders ruled out defensive end Maxx Crosby with a high ankle sprain and wide receiver Davante Adams with a hamstring injury. This is huge news for the Cleveland Browns. Maxx Crosby is the Raiders best player on defense and Davante Adams is their best player on offense. As of this Friday the Raiders remain a 2.5-point favorite over the Browns in this game. With the game being in Las Vegas odds makers are giving the Raiders 3 points. So, these teams are evenly matched by the same odds makers. For the Browns going 2-2 to start the season is much more favorable than 1-3. Last season they were 2-2 after 4 weeks. They went on to make the playoffs with an 11-6 record.  As Browns fans let’s take it one game at a time and see what happens.
