Around the NFC West: Week 10
The San Francisco 49ers snapped their three-game losing streak on Sunday with a 34-3 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Brock Purdy had a nice day with 296 yards and three passing touchdowns. George Kittle did what George Kittle does catching only three passes but turning those three catches into 116 yards and a touchdown. San Francisco’s defense sacked Trevor Lawrence 5 times and picked him off twice in the win. The 49ers play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 11.
It was a last-second win for the Seattle Seahawks that improved their record to 6-3 this week. Geno Smith was outstanding in the win throwing for 369 yards and two touchdowns. He led scoring drives on each of the Seahawks’ last three possessions. Smith spread the ball around on the afternoon finding nine different receivers. The biggest days from that group came from DK Metcalf (7/98/0) and Tyler Lockett (8/92/1). Seattle heads to Los Angeles to take on the Rams on Sunday.
Kyler Murray returned to the Arizona Cardinals lineup in week 10 and led the team to a 25-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Murray threw for 249 yards and ran for another 33 and a touchdown. Second-year tight end Trey McBride had a huge game catching eight passes for 131 yards. He has played a huge role for the Cardinals since Zach Ertz landed on injured reserve. Arizona’s defense held the Falcons to just 70 yards passing in the contest. The Cardinals travel to Houston to take on the Texans in week 11.
The Los Angeles Rams had their bye in week 10 and will take on the Seahawks this Sunday.
