Around the NFC South: week 14

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Atlanta Falcons 29-25 to move into a three-way tie atop the division standings. Bakr Mayfield had an efficient day in the loss throwing for just 144 yards but two touchdowns. Rachaad White has been the start for the Buccaneers’ offense lately. He rushed 25 times for 102 yards and caught two passes for 33 yards and a touchdown in the win. Desmond Ridder had his best day as a pro in the loss. He threw for 347 yards and a touchdown. Drake London caught 10 passes for 172 yards. Kyle Pitts chipped in three catches for 57 yards and a touchdown. The Falcons have some good, young pieces on offense. The Buccaneers take on the Green Bay Packers in week 15 while the Atlanta Falcons play the Carolina Panthers.

Speaking of the Panthers, they lost to the New Orleans Saints 28-6 on Sunday. It was another tough day for number one overall pick Bryce Young. He finished the day 13 of 36 for just 137 yards. He was also sacked four times and lost a fumble. Derek Carr only threw for 119 yards for the Saints in the win, but he did throw two touchdowns. He spread the ball around to eight different pass catchers. The win pulled the Saints into the three-way tie atop the division at 6-7. The Saints play the Giants in week 15 while the Panthers play the Falcons.
