Around the NFC North: Week 14

Justin Fields returning has been a huge shot in the arm for the Chicago Bears. He led them to a 28-13 win over the NFC North leading Detroit Lions in week 14. Fields had 223 yards passing, 53 yards rushing, and scored two total touchdowns in the win. DJ Moore was Fields’s favorite target catching six passes for 68 yards and a touchdown. The Chicago defense held Jared Goff to just 161 yards passing and picked him off twice on the afternoon. Both Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery rushed for 66 yards a piece in the loss. The Lions host the Denver Broncos on Saturday this week while the Bears travel to Cleveland to play the Browns on Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings won the most boring game of the year so far 3-0 over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The game featured zero points until Greg Joseph hit a 36-yard field goal with just 1:57 left. The Passtronaut, Josh Dobbs, has turned into The PasstroNOT over the last couple of weeks. He threw for just 63 yards in this one before giving way to Nick Mullens who led the game-winning drive. The Vikings defense was good holding the Las Vegas offense scoreless on the afternoon and forcing three turnovers. Minnesota plays the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.

It was heartbreak for the Green Bay Packers on Monday night when they lost 24-22 to the New York Giants. Jordan Love threw for 218 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the loss. Rookie tight end Tucker Kraft was the leading pass catcher with four catches for 64 yards in the loss. The Packers rushing attack is really missing Aaron Jones. AJ Dillon gained just 53 yards on 15 carries here. The Packers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 15.
