Around the NFC North Week 13
The Detroit Lions got back on track with a 33-28 win on the road over the New Orleans Saints in week 13. The two-headed rushing attack of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery accounted for 116 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. Jared Goff added 213 yards and two touchdowns through the air. Rookie tight end Sam LaPorta had a massive day catching nine passes for 140 yards and a touchdown. The Lions will travel to Chicago to take on the Bears in week 14.
Jordan Love is really coming into his own as the Green Bay Packers quarterback. He outdueled Patrick Mahomes on Sunday Night Football to lead the Packers to a 27-19 win. Love threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns. He spread the ball around to nine different receivers in the win. AJ Dillon did solid work on the ground rushing for 73 yards on 18 carries. Green Bay played this game without Aaron Jones who they hope to get back in week 14. The Packers’ defense stepped up in the win holding Mahomes to just 210 yards passing on the night. They had one interception that sealed the game in the fourth quarter. The Packers take on the New York Giants on Monday Night Football in week 14.
The Minnesota Vikings had their bye week in week 13. They will travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders in week 14.
The Chicago Bears were also on their bye in week 13. They host the Lions on Sunday.
