Around the NFC East: Week 15

The Dallas Cowboys five-game winning streak came to an end on Sunday afternoon when they lost 31-10 to the Buffalo Bills. Dak Prescott had made a pretty good case for himself to be the NFL MVP in those five wins, but it was a tough day for him in Buffalo. He only threw for 134 yards with zero touchdowns and an interception. CeeDee Lamb was held to just 53 yards on seven catches. The Dallas defense had no answers for the Bills rushing attack giving up 266 yards on the ground. The Cowboys travel to Miami for a showdown with the Dolphins in week 16.

It was a third straight loss for the Philadelphia Eagles this week when they fell 20-17 to the Seattle Seahawks. Jalen Hurts’s struggles continued in this game. To be fair to him, he was so sick over the weekend that he traveled to Seattle separate from the rest of the team. He threw for just 143 yards and two interceptions in the loss. The second interception came in the closing seconds of the game when the Eagles were trying to get at least get a field goal to tie the game after a late Drew Lock touchdown pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The Eagles take on the New York Giants in week 16.

Speaking of the Giants, their three-game winning streak came to an end when they fell 24-6 to the New Orleans Saints. The Giants offense could only muster 193 of total offense in the loss. Saquon Barkley was held to just 14 yards rushing on nine carries. You probably will not be seeing many Tommy DeVito stories this week after he threw for just 177 yards on the day. The Giants play the Eagles this week.

The Washington Commanders lost their fifth straight game 28-20 to the Los Angeles Rams. Jacoby Brissett replaced Sam Howell in this game and threw two touchdowns on just ten passing attempts. Terry McLaurin had a big day in the loss with 141 yards and a touchdown. Ron Rivera has said this week that the team will go back to Howell in week 16 when the Commanders take on the New York Jets in a game the American people are all dying to watch.
