Around the NFC East: Week 13
The Philadelphia Eagles suffered their second loss of the season 42-19 to the San Francisco 49ers. Jalen Hurts threw for 298 yards and one touchdown and ran for 20 yards and another touchdown. The biggest problem for the Eagles was they could not get their rushing attack going. On the day they had 18 carries for 46 yards. They also had no answer for the Brock Purdy and the 49ers passing attack. Purdy threw four touchdowns. The Eagles have a huge game with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in week 14.
Speaking of the Cowboys, they got their ninth win of the season on Thursday Night Football 41-35 over the Seattle Seahawks. Dak Prescott continued his recent run of success throwing for 299 yards and three touchdowns. CeeDee Lamb had a massive night as well with 12 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. Dallas was trailing 35-27 late in the third quarter but was able to put together three scoring drives and get three stops at the end of the game. The Cowboys play the Eagles in week 14 for a chance to pull into a first place tie in the division.
It was a tough week for the Washington Commanders who fell to the Miami Dolphins 45-15. The Commanders were unable to generate much of anything on offense. Sam Howell ended the day with just 127 yards passing, no touchdowns, and an interception. That interception was returned for a touchdown. Washington also had no answers for the Dolphins offense. They gave up 283 yards passing and had zero sacks. The Commanders have their bye in week 14.
The New York Giants were on their bye in week 13.
