Around the NFC East: Week 10
Things have fully gone off the rails for the New York Giants. At this point, the best thing they can hope for from the 2023 season is to land the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Then they will have to decide if they are going to take a quarterback with that pick. As for this week, they got boat raced by the Dallas Cowboys 49-17. Dak Prescott threw the ball all over the yard ending with 404 yards passing and four passing touchdowns. He added another touchdown on the ground. Brandin Cooks had his first big day as a Cowboy catching nine passes for 173 yards and a touchdown. CeeDee Lamb added 11 catches for 151 yards and a touchdown of his own. The Cowboys host the Carolina Panthers this week while the Giants travel to Washington to take on the Commanders.
Speaking of the Commanders, they lost a heartbreaker to the Seattle Seahawks 29-26. It was not a total loss for the Commanders, however. Sam Howell had his best day as a pro throwing for 312 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Second-year running back Brian Robinson, Jr. was the leading receiver for the Commanders. He had 6 catches for 119 yards and a touchdown. The biggest problem for Washington was the pass defense. That should not be surprising after they traded away their two best pass rushers in October. Geno Smith torched them for 369 yards and two touchdowns through the air. The Commanders will host the Giants in week 11.
The Philadelphia Eagles had their bye this week.
