Around the AFC West: Week 13
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs continue to look pretty pedestrian in their week 13 27-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. Mahomes is having to do a lot of the work by himself this year as his pass catchers have not been very good. He threw for 210 yards with one touchdown and one back-breaking interception. Travis Kelce had four catches on five targets for 81 yards but was not able to find the end zone. The most productive player on offense for Kansas City in this one was running back Isiah Pacheco who ran for 110 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills in week 14.
Denver saw their five-game winning streak come to an end when they lost to the Houston Texans 22-17. It was a tough afternoon for Russell Wilson who threw three interceptions on the day and only managed 186 yards passing. The Broncos were unable to get their two high-profile receivers, Cortland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy, going in this one. Sutton did catch a touchdown pass but only had two catches. Jeudy finished the game with just three catches. The Broncos travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers in week 14.
The Los Angeles Chargers had their bye in week 13 and take on the Broncos next week.
The Las Vegas Raiders also had their by in week 13. They host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
