Around the AFC South: Week 15
Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars were unable to get anything going on offense in their 23-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. Lawrence threw for 264 yards and a touchdown. He was entered into the concussion protocol by the team on Monday and his status for this week is up in the air. The one touchdown came on a long pass to Jamal Agnew who the Ravens secondary lost down the field. Jacksonville takes on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 16.
Gardner Minshew and the Indianapolis Colts cruised to a 30-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday. Mishew threw for 215 yards and three touchdowns. It was not all good news for the Colts who lost Zach Moss and Michael Pittman to injuries during the game. Pittman had four catches for 78 yards before leaving the game with a concussion. The Colts will take on the Atlanta Falcons on Christmas Eve this week.
The Houston Texans were able to get a 19-16 overtime win over the Tennessee Titans without C.J. Stroud on Sunday. The Texans offense got 121 yards rushing from Devin Singletary. Case Keenum got the start for the injured Stroud and did just enough to lead the team to victory. For the Titans, it was the worst day of Derrick Henry’s career. He had just 10 yards on 20 total touches. The Titans’ offensive line continued to be terrible allowing Will Levis to be sacked seven times. The final sack led to an ankle injury that has Levis’s status for this week in question. The loss officially eliminated the Titans from playoff contention. The Texans take on the Cleveland Browns this week while the Titans face the Seattle Seahawks.
