Around the AFC North: Week 2

The biggest news in the AFC North this week is the knee injury Nick Chubb suffered on Monday night. Chubb will miss the rest of the season. That injury came in a game the Cleveland Browns lost 26-22 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jerome Ford replaced Chubb and rushed for 106 yards. Deshaun Watson threw for 235 yards and a touchdown in the loss, but he did not look very good doing it. On the Pittsburgh side of the ball, the big story was George Pickens. He caught four passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. Next week the Browns host the Tennessee Titans while the Steelers travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders.

The Baltimore Ravens got their second win of the season over the Cincinnati Bengals 27-24. Lamar Jackson threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns in the win. He added another 54 yards on the ground. The Ravens backfield was split with Justice Hill getting 11 carries and Gus Edwards getting 10. Edwards looked better gaining 62 yards to 41 for Hill. Cincinnati got off to a slow start in this one on offense but finished strong. Joe Burrow ended the day with 222 yards and two touchdowns. Tee Higgins was on the receiving end of both touchdowns. There is some concern for Cincinnati, however, as it appeared that Burrow re-injured his calf on the Bengals’ final offensive play of the game. That will be something to monitor this week. The Ravens play host to the Indianapolis Colts in week three. Cincinnati has a home date with the Los Angeles Rams.
