Around the AFC North: Week 14

Lamar Jackson was fantastic in the Baltimore Ravens 37-31 overtime win over the Los Angeles Rams. Jackson threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns and added another 70 yards on the ground. Odell Beckham, Jr. had one of his best games as a Raven with four catches for 97 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Likely, who is filling in for the injured Mark Andrews, added five catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. Baltimore got the ball first in overtime but went three and out and punted it to the Rams. The Ravens’ defense forced a three and out of their own. Tylan Wallace returned that punt 76 yards for a walk-off touchdown. The Ravens will face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday Night Football next week.

Joe Flacco continued his resurgence on Sunday when he led the Cleveland Browns to a 31-27 win over the Jaguars. Flacco threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns. David Njoku was on the receiving end of two of those touchdowns. Amari Cooper added seven catches for 77 yards. The Cleveland defense sacked Trevor Lawrence four times and forced three interceptions in the victory.  The Browns host the Chicago Bears in week 15.

The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the New England Patriots 21-18 on Thursday Night Football. It was an ugly game for the Steelers who allowed Hunter Henry to find the end zone twice in the first half and could never recover. Mitch Trubisky, filling in for the injured Kenny Pickett, threw for 190 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Steelers face the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday this week.

Jake Browning continued his reign of terror over the AFC South when he led the Cincinnati Bengals to a 34-14 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Browning threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns in the win. He spread the ball around on the afternoon completing passes to eight different pass catchers. The Cincinnati defense sacked Gardner Mishew three times in the game and did not allow any points in the second half. The Bengals face the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday in week 15.
