Around the AFC North Week 13

It was a tough week 13 for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Not only did they lose 24-10 to the Arizona Cardinals, but they also lost Kenny Pickett to an injury. Pickett is not expected to be placed on IR but will miss some time. Mitch Trubisky took over for the injured picket and threw for 117 yards and a touchdown. The Steelers did find some success on the ground rushing for 130 yards in the contest. They were ultimately done in by their former running back, James Conner, who had two touchdowns on the day. The Steelers take on the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football this week.

Joe Flacco could not lead the Cleveland Browns to a win in his debut with the team. Cleveland fell 36-19 to the Los Angeles Rams. Flacco did throw for 254 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. It was the Browns’ defense that let them down in this one. They allowed Matthew Stafford to throw for 279 yards and three touchdowns. The Browns host the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 14.

The Cincinnati Bengals pulled off the most improbable win of week 13 when they knocked off the Jaguars 34-31 in overtime on Monday Night Football. Jake Browning, who will be the guy for the Bengals for the rest of the season with Joe Burrow out for the year, was excellent in this one. He led the Bengals to 10 points in the fourth quarter and took them on the game-winning field goal drive in overtime. On the night he threw for 354 yards and a touchdown. It was a huge night for Ja’Marr Chase who had 11 catches for 149 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals are not dead yet. Cincinnati will host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

The Baltimore Ravens had their bye in week 13 and will face the Los Angeles Rams in week 14.
