NFL Fantasy Football Biggest Breakout RBs Through Week 10
Fantasy football season is full of breakout stars each year. Owners are required to find these breakouts and that could be the difference between winning your league.
This season, the running back market has been as open as ever. This is because of injuries, giving chances to different backs to put up big numbers.
The likely candidates, such as Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley, have been at the top of the league but there are also other names ready to take it by storm.
Below, check out five breakout RBs to this point of the season.
4. Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals
Brown has taken full control of the backfield in Cincinnati after the injury to Zack Moss. Even before the injury, Brown was getting his chances but he is now the primary back. He has totaled double-digit carries in each of the last seven games, including 27 in Week 9. In PPR leagues, Brown has been even more valuable. He has catapulted into the Top 15 RBs this season.
3. Tyrone Tracy Jr., New York Giants
Tracy Jr. came into the league as a rookie and backed up Devin Singletary. It did not take long for the Giants to give the role to Tracy Jr. He got a chance in Week 5 when Singletary went down with an injury and went over 100 yards rushing. This was the first of three games he eclipsed this mark. Tracy Jr. has 16 or more carries in five of the last six games and has used his background as a wide receiver to put up big numbers.
2. J.K. Dobbins, Los Angeles Chargers
Dobbins has not put up the biggest numbers but he has proven to be an RB2 with a new regime in Los Angeles. He began the season with back-to-back 130-yard rushing games. He has scored seven touchdowns and is being used in different ways. Jim Harbaugh has built a strong running game with Dobbins behind an improved offensive line.
1. Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers
Hubbard has been a contributor in Carolina for a few years now. With a brand-new extension, he has turned into a top six fantasy back. Hubbard has double-digit carries in all but one game this season, including season-highs in carries (28) and yards (153) against the Giants on Sunday. He has gone over 100 yards three times and scored six touchdowns. With a three-year deal, the Panthers have committed to Hubbard for years to come.
