Cavs Win 3rd game in a row, top Hawks 137-115

On Thursday January 30th at 7pm eastern time, the 38-9 Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the 22-25 Atlanta Hawks at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in downtown Cleveland Ohio. The Cavaliers last game was a 126-106 win the night before in Miami Florida over the Miami Heat. The Hawks last game was a Tuesday night loss at home to the Houston Rockets 100-94. Out for the Cavaliers was Isaac Okoro, Caris LeVert, and Dean Wade. The Hawks were without Jalen Johnson, Clint Capela, Kobe Bufkin, Cody Zeller, and Bodgan Bogdanovic for the game. The Cavaliers were trying to win their third game in a row.

The first quarter had the Cavaliers outplaying the Hawks, and the Cavaliers led after one quarter of play 39-29. Cleveland was able to maintain their lead in the second quarter of the game and at halftime the Cavaliers led the Hawks 71-63. In the second half the Cavaliers pulled away from the Hawks and led after three quarters of play by a score of 110-84. In the fourth and final quarter the Cavaliers coasted to their third consecutive win 137-115.

The Cavaliers’ leading scorer was Darius Garland with 26 points in 30 minutes. The Cavaliers had six players with double digit scoring. This was another overall team win for this Cavaliers team. Up next for the 39-9 Cleveland Cavaliers is hosting the 26-22 Dallas Mavericks on Sunday February 2nd at 3:30 pm eastern time, at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in downtown Cleveland Ohio. The Cavaliers next game is on ground hog day. As we all hope for a short winter and the ground hog to see his shadow. Cavaliers’ fans are hoping for a repeat of the last three games for their team.  Who knows, maybe Bill Murray can make appearance as well!
