Cavs win 13th in a row over the 76ers, 114-106

On Wednesday November 13th the 12-0 Cleveland Cavaliers traveled to the city of brotherly love Philadelphia Pennsylvania to play the 2-8 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center. The Cavaliers are coming off their 12th consecutive win to start their season in Chicago last Monday 119-113. The 76ers lost their last game in Tuesday night to the New York Knicks at home 111-99. For the 76ers both Joel Embiid and Paul George were listed as questionable due to knee injuries for both. Neither of them played because this game was the second game in a row for Philadelphia. The 76ers were also without Tyrese Maxey due to a strained hamstring. The Cavaliers Jarrett Allen had a lower leg strain and was questionable for the game. Allen did play in the game despite the injury. It appeared at the onset that the Cavaliers win streak would go to 13 consecutive wins.

After a back-and-forth 1st quarter, the Cavaliers led the 76ers 31-27. In the second quarter the 76ers had 17-10 run and the 76ers led at halftime 54-48. In the 3rd quarter the 76ers appeared to be fatigued from the game on the previous night. The Cavaliers were able to regain the lead and led at the end of the 3rd quarter 82-78. The Cavaliers pulled away in the 4th quarter to win their 13th game in a row to start the season 114-106.

Darius Garland led the Cavaliers in scoring with 25 points in 34 minutes. Donovan Mitchell and Jarret Allen each had a double-double. Allen had 11 points and 12 rebounds in 32 minutes. Mitchell had 23 points and 13 rebounds in 34 minutes.  Up next for the Cavaliers is the Chicago Bulls Friday November 15th at 7:30 pm eastern time, at the Rocket Mortgage Field House in Cleveland, Ohio. This team keeps rolling and on Friday night we will find out if they can make 14-0.
