Most Overrated Teams In The NFL After Week 2

The 2024 NFL season is two weeks in and we are beginning to see what teams are made of.

With that being said, all questions cannot be answered after just two games. There were many teams with high expectations coming into the season.

Below, check out some of the overrated teams early on.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens should be in the honorable mention category of this section. Baltimore is not overrated and could still be in contention in the AFC. With that being said, it was not an encouraging performance in the home opener against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The Ravens battled the Kansas City Chiefs in the opening game of the season but let a lowly Raiders team take control on their home field. The Ravens will likely turn the season around but fans are not happy about this start.

Chicago Bears

Was there a team that came into the season without accomplishing anything than the Chicago Bears? Ryan Poles made moves in the offseason to improve the roster on paper but it is not showing on the field just yet. Caleb Williams has not accounted for a touchdown this season while Keenan Allen has already missed a game. The good news is that the defense looks strong but if not for the Tennessee Titans and the ineptitude of Will Levis, the Bears would be 0-2. There is plenty of room for improvement for a team that received plenty of unwarranted hype this season.

Cincinnati Bengals

Like the Ravens, the fellow AFC North power could be an honorable mention but 0-2 is 0-2. Cincinnati would not be on this list if it would have beaten the New England Patriots in Week 1. The Bengals scored just 10 points in the opener before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. There are no lookahead spots in Week 1 so the loss to the Patriots at home is inexcusable. Tee Higgins has not taken the field yet and the contract situation surrounding Jamar Chase remains a lingering issue.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys were not expected to be on this list after a dominant win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. But here we are and the Cowboys completely imploded in their home opener against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The Cowboys allowed 35 points in the first half and the game was over in the first quarter. Dallas was the least active team in the offseason and it shows as the front office did next to nothing to improve the team heading into the season.
