Midseason Favorites For 2024 NFL MVP Award

The 2024-25 NFL season is at its midway point and players are beginning to show where they stand.

Teams are also starting to find their groove heading into the second half of the season. These teams contending for postseason berths are led by some of the best players in the league.

Who will win the NFL’s MVP award this season? There are many familiar faces at the top of the list along with some newcomers that have taken the league by storm.

NFL MVP Favorites

1. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

Goff is in his fourth season with the Lions and has completely hit his stride. Last season, he threw 30 touchdowns and might put up even bigger numbers this season. Goff is completing 74.9% of his passes and has 14 touchdowns compared to just four interceptions. The Lions are 7-1 and at the top of the NFC.

2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Talk about a player who is going to blow past his numbers from the previous season. Jackson won his second MVP award in 2023-24 and might be even better this year. He is completing a similar number of passes but has already totaled 2,379 and 20 touchdowns. Jackson is taking care of the football with just two interceptions. The Ravens’ offense is the best in football and Jackson’s growth is apparent.

3. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

The loss of Stefon Diggs made many believe that the Bills would take a step back this season but Allen has the team in control of the AFC East once again. He has put up monster numbers this season with over 2,000 passing yards with 17 touchdowns to just two interceptions. This all goes with his overall leadership and rushing ability as well.

4. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders

Daniels has completely changed the fortune of the franchise in Washington. The Commanders are 7-2 with a top three offense in the league to this point. Daniels has led an offense that has turned the ball over just three times in nine games. He has thrown for 1,945 yards with nine touchdowns while adding 459 yards and four scores on the ground.

5. Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens

The MVP award in the league has been dominated by quarterbacks, which means Henry is not getting enough attention. He has helped take Baltimore to the next level. He has gone over 1,000 yards already and added 11 touchdowns. There is a chance that Henry is able to find the end zone 20 times this season and flirt with 2,000 yards once again.
