Los Angeles Dodgers Pound New York Mets for the Third Time

The Los Angeles Dodgers scored their third lopsided win over the New York Mets last night to take a 3-1 lead in the NL Championship Series.
The Mets won Game 2, but the other three scores have been 9-0, 8-0, and now 10-2 in favor of the Dodgers.
EARLY FIREWORKS
Shohei Ohtani led off the game with a home run for the Dodgers, but the Mets’ Mark Vientos responded in kind in the bottom of the first.
The Dodgers pulled ahead 3-1 in the third inning on a double by Tommy Edman and a single by Enrique Hernandez.
The Mets got one of those runs back in the bottom of the third on a fielder’s choice grounder by Brandon Nimmo.
PLACE YOUR BETTS
Mookie Betts took over the game for LA, as he had four of the Dodgers’ 12 hits.
Betts hit a two-run double in the fourth and a two-run homer in the sixth to put LA up by a 7-2 margin.
The Dodgers added to the Mets’ misery in the eighth with a two-run double by Edman and an RBI single by Will Smith.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto started on the mound for the Dodgers. He lasted 4 1/3 innings and struck out eight.
Jose Quintana only lasted 3 1/3 innings for the Mets, and he gave up five of the Dodgers’ 10 runs.
The Mets will try to save the season when they host Game 5 at 5:08 p.m. today on Fox Sports 1. David Peterson will start for the Mets against the Jack Flaherty for the Dodgers.
