Logan Paul Un-Retires, Joins WWE Raw Roster for Netflix Debut
Nobody expected Logan Paul to stay retired from pro wrestling, especially with the excuse that he’s a “new dad.”
That’s the reason many wrestlers avoid retirement. Kids are expensive!
Paul jumped back into the pro wrestling world at the kickoff for the Raw debut on Netflix, which is scheduled for Jan. 6.
The event took place on Wednesday at the new WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Conn. Michael Cole welcomed the crowd.
WWE boss Triple H announced Paul as the newest member of the Raw roster. Paul had previously competed on Smackdown and won the U.S. title.
LOADED LINEUP
Rhea Ripley appeared at the event, and she will challenge Liv Morgan for the World women’s title on the Netflix debut.
That match is part of a show that already included a C.M. Punk vs. Seth Rollins grudge match and a Tribal Combat match between Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns.
Solo’s Bloodline 2.0 group showed up at the kickoff, only to be interrupted by Roman’s “Wiseman,” Paul Heyman.
CRASHING THE PARTY
Kevin Owens found a live microphone and took over the show by speaking from the balcony. He was wearing the old-school “Winged Eagle” title belt.
Owens called himself the “real WWE champion” after he attacked Cody Rhodes on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
World champion Gunther also appeared, despite not having a match scheduled for the debut show. He declared himself “the future of Netflix.”
