Liv Morgan succeeded in taking away Ripley’s boyfriend. But after a show-opening brawl on Monday Night Raw, Raw GM Adam Pearce booked a mixed tag team match for Bash in Berlin on Aug. 31.

Damien Priest, who was also turfed out of Judgment Day at SummerSlam, will team with Ripley to face Morgan & Mysterio.

Priest, who lost the World title to Gunther at SummerSlam, won the opening match over Carlito with the South of Heaven chokeslam.

IC TITLE SHOWDOWN

Bron Breakker retained the Intercontinental title in a best-of-three-falls rematch with former champ Sami Zayn.

Sami hit the Heluva Kick to win the first fall, but Breakker won the next two with the spear. In the third fall, Zayn was coming off the top rope before Breakker tackled him.

Odyssey Jones squashed Vincent Winey. He will join New Day members Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods next week to battle The Final Testament (Karrion Kross & The Authors of Pain).

WHAT’S IN A NAME?

Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark announced that the team would be called Pure Fusion Collective. One Twitter user said the name “sounds like a yacht rock band that had a Top 5 hit in 1978.”

Baszler & Stark were disqualified in their match against Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane). Both teams will challenge The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) for the WWE women’s tag team belts next week on Raw.

Chad Gable’s new American Made team (Brutus & Julius Creed) beat his old Alpha Academy team (Akira Tozawa & Otis). Ivy Nile caused a distraction leading to the win. She attacked Maxxine Dupri after warning her not to come to ringside.

Randy Orton talked about his upcoming title match with Gunther. Drew McIntyre said, “Isn’t Orton supposed to be on Smackdown?” before getting attacked by CM Punk.

We could see Punk vs. McIntyre again in Berlin, perhaps in a strap match.

Bronson Reed beat The Miz with the Tsunami splash from the top rope. Reed hit several of them last week against Seth Rollins, and he did the same after this match to Miz’s partner, R-Truth.
