Jon Moxley Shakes Up AEW Between All In and All Out
Jon Moxley raised a lot of questions with his surprise appearance on last night’s AEW Dynamite.
First, he said he wanted to talk to Darby Allin, who wasn’t in the building.
Moxley then curiously told announcer Tony Schiavone, “it’s not your company anymore.”
If that weren’t enough, Mox later joined “The Problem” Marina Shafir in beating up some security guards.
So what does this mean?
Moxley has been the most stable performer in the five-year history of AEW, winning three World titles and providing backstage stability in times of turmoil.
*cough*CMPunk*cough*
Last weekend, everyone else in the Blackpool Combat Club walked out of Wembley Stadium with a championship.
Bryan Danielson won the World title from Swerve Strickland, and Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli teamed with PAC (not Moxley) to win the trios belts.
WELCOME RICOCHET
As if AEW didn’t have enough phenomenal wrestlers, Ricochet won his first singles bout over Kyle Fletcher in the main event.
“Hangman” Adam Page pinned Tomohiro Ishii after a Buckshot Lariat. Page will face longtime rival Strickland in a steel cage at All Out on Sept. 7 in Chicago.
Jamie Hayter returned from a layoff of more than a year, winning her return match against Harley Cameron. Hayter is likely to battle Saraya at All Out.
Hook teamed up with Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly & Orange Cassidy to defeat Chris Jericho, Big Bill, Bryan Keith & Roderick Strong.
WHO’S THE TOP CONTENDER?
Bryan Danielson said he would put his retirement plans on hold to defend the AEW World title. He issued an open challenge for All Out.
Jack Perry stepped forward to accept the offer. The former “Jungle Boy” is a former tag team champion and the current TNT title holder.
