Jey Uso Wins Intercontinental Title on Monday Night Raw
“Main Event” Jey Uso earned his nickname by winning the Intercontinental title last night to cap off Monday Night Raw.
Bron Breakker seemed destined for a long title reign, but Uso won a tournament to earn a title shot before scoring the upset victory.
Breakker often bragged that his family (The Steiner Brothers) never lost to Uso’s family (The Samoan Swat Team/Headshrinkers), but he can’t say that anymore.
RAGE IN THE (LITTLE) CAGE
Drew McIntyre talked about his upcoming match with CM Punk in the menacing Hell in a Cell cage on Oct. 5 at Bad Blood.
But Dominick Mysterio learned that he would also be entering the cage on that show.
Dirty Dom will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage as Liv Morgan defends the World women’s title against Rhea Ripley.
Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane) beat former women’s tag team champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn. Sky & Sane are heading toward a title bout against current champs Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill.
JUST SAY NO
Sami Zayn defeated Ludwig Kaiser, and then World champion Gunther came to the ring. Would “The Ring General” finally give Zayn a title shot?
No!
Kofi Kingston allowed Xavier Woods to be the “quarterback” of The New Day as the team approaches its 10th anniversary.
However, Woods lost his focus in the ring, leading to a defeat against Brutus & Julius Creed. A frustrated Woods antagonized Rey Mysterio after the match, so they will have a match next week.
Dragon Lee scored his first win in months by defeating Carlito of The Judgment Day.
After destroying each other week after week, Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman will face each other in a “Last Monster Standing” match on the next episode of Raw.
